About me

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chair of Integrative Risk Management and Economics (IRME) at ETH Zürich. My research interests focus on the economics of population ageing, in particular, pension economics and finance, household consumption and saving behaviour, health risks, cognition, long-term care, labour and fertility. I do both structural and reduced-form analysis, and (sometimes) experimental studies.

I obtained my PhD degree on retirement insurance in China at the UNSW School of Risk & Actuarial Studies. I have a Master of Science in Statistics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and a Bachelor of Science in Information and Computational Science from Wuhan University. I worked as a Research Associate at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR)’s UNSW Business School node. Before pursuing the PhD, I was an Associate Statistician and Research Manager in Willis Towers Watson Research and Innovation Centre (Wuhan Office).

—– Teaching and supervision —–

I teach two Master level courses in the Autumn semester: Risk and Insurance Economics + Population Ageing and Pension Economics.

For students having interest to do a thesis or semester project with our Chair, it would be better to take some courses offered by the Chair and have a discussion with the lecturers.
